CEDIA 2017 Featured HDMI Training Classes and Panel

CEDIA 2017 featured HDMI products everywhere throughout the San Diego Convention Center. The commercial AV and custom integrator markets are the most in-the-know when it comes to HDMI technology. That’s because for many companies designing and installing HDMI-dependent systems is a critical part of the businesses. HDMI Licensing Administrator Inc. (HDMI LA) teamed up with CEDIA and provided the latest information through HDMI Master Integrator classes. CEDIA also hosted another opportunity for attendees with an HDMI Video Connectivity Hot Seat open panel featuring several HDMI technology authorities.

Also featured throughout the show were several displays showcasing cables from the Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program. Premium HDMI Cables are relied upon for higher performance and value, and are the only cables to be tested and certified by HDMI Authorized Test Centers to ensure they support high-bandwidth enabled features. Every length of every model line is tested and certified and only Premium HDMI Cables are allowed to display and promote the official Premium HDMI Cable Authentication Label.

Ensuring the best performance for consumers of the latest UHD products is the shared mission of two important industry programs. In our HDMI Licensing Administrator (HDMI LA) booth we featured our Premium HDMI® Cable Certification Program with a display of some of our prominent cable manufacturer program participants; and we also featured a display from our promotional partner the UHD Alliance (UHDA) showing their Ultra HD Premium™ certified products.

Premium HDMI Cables on display featured Rocketfish, Vanco, Legrand, Panasonic, Liberty AV, and Belkin. The UHDA’s Ultra HD Premium demo displayed a Panasonic UltraHD Blu-ray player and Panasonic 4K/UHD TV. UHDA Promotions Group members Toshiroh Nishio and Dan Schinasi were on hand to show their demonstration.

HAMA Launches Premium HDMI Cables at IFA in Berlin

The HDMI Premium Cable Certification Program continues to grow across the world as HAMA introduced a new line of Premium HDMI cables at the IFA show in Berlin. HAMA is one of the world’s leading accessory manufactures and distributors specializing in several consumer product categories. With all the brick and mortar and online retailers HAMA represents you can expect to see more Premium HDMI Cables available across Europe and in HAMA’s other sales regions. The new line is comprised of three product lengths – 0.75m, 1.50m, and 3.00m.

As HAMA’s IFA press information states…. “Whoever buys a 4K or ultra HD terminal device attaches great importance to quality. Many people, however, forget or refuse to believe that the connection cable is equally important. If you want to fully benefit from the transmission quality and in order to be prepared for future generations of high-quality devices you should choose a HDMI cable with the official HDMI Premium logo.” We agree.
